Our Partners

A central goal of the Legacies of American Slavery project is to create a national network of colleges, universities, and community organizations that facilitates public discussion and civic action on the legacies of slavery in the United States. Within this network, Meredith College serves as a coordinating hub for the VOICES OF CHANGE initiatives. The Oral History Project will be launched this summer through partnerships with CIC institutions Shaw University, Flagler College, Guilford College, and Johnson C. Smith University. The Political Institute is a collaborative effort in which Meredith College will work together with Advance Carolina and the North Carolina Black Alliance.
